About Me
I am a highly adaptable IT Professional. I am always looking for ways to expand my expertise so that the clients and customers I serve can have confidence in solutions that I provide as well as confidence in my employers’ ability to expand and enhance offerings.
I can learn new technologies and principles quickly and efficiently so I can apply them to new or expanding roles. I understand the need for fluidity in the IT environment and will adjust to any requirement needed.
I cannot be successful if our clients and customers are not successful. This means that their success is my absolute priority and I’m willing to go the extra mile to ensure all aspects of my role meet their ongoing and ever-changing needs.
Puzzles and challenges provide a thrill for me. They give me a way to learn by doing and I pride myself on learning everything I can so that I can aid with a very wide range of issues that may arise. I also love sharing the things I learn with my fellow employees as I feel that building the team I work with is essential to the team’s success as well as our customers’ success.
This knowledge base is also necessary so that planning of new projects and deployments can be performed with a full scope of the requirements that may have been missed if knowledge of every aspect is not evaluated.

Testimonials
I have known Rian for over 15 years. I first met him when he came to work for the Camden County Library District as our IT guy. His knowledge of the internet/computers was instrumental in helping our library district adapt to all the new changes that were being introduced at that time. I have watched him work hard to get his degree while helping his parents and being a dad to two children. His abilities and knowledge of technology are amazing.
For the last 6 years Rian Booyer had provided technology services for our company Rising Abilities. he has done everything from creating VPN’s, hooking up printers and networks in an office, to developing websites. Rian is very dependable. He is easy to understand when we need technical support, (no matter the abilities of the user who needs support), and he is great at diagnosing problems. He has rebuilt a desktop for me personally, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. He has a broad array of knowledge in the field, and an internal motivation to get the job done right and in a timely manner. Our organization will always be grateful for the work he has done for us, and he will always be the first person we turn to when we have a need.
I worked with Rian at Kyndryl/Fannie Mae overs period of years .
I am delighted to write this recommendation for Rian , who has been an invaluable asset to our team in the realm of Linux/Unix data centers. He possesses an exceptional understanding of Linux/Unix systems, coupled with a profound knowledge of data center operations.
He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
His ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions is truly remarkable. He has a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to problem-solving, which has greatly contributed to the efficiency and reliability of our data center infrastructure.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Rian for any role in Linux/Unix data centers. He brings a wealth of expertise, dedication, and leadership skills to the table, and I am confident that he will continue to excel in any endeavor he pursues.
I am writing to recommend Rian Booyer. He worked with me at Kyndryl as a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator and reported to me in my position as a manager of Unix/Wintel Administration.
As an employee, Rian was always reliable and resourceful. During his time in my team, he managed to conduct high quality work that had a great impact to both my team and to the success of the customer
environment. He is a quick learner as well as an extremely hard worker. When asked to take on a task, he would be eager to increase his knowledge base while also making sure that the task was completed
with great success. He continued to learn and grow every day that he was on my team and had a hunger for knowledge that would make any leader or company proud.
I’ve always put a premium on initiative and willingness to learn among my team members and Rian never failed to deliver on both fronts. An example was when he was tasked with managing our complex
Cisco UCS environment. He quickly learned what was necessary to understand the intricacies of how the domains worked, how to look for and identify hardware issues and work with the vendor to have
hardware replaced to keep the environment running at optimum performance. He also grew to understand the importance of how the physical servers needed to be configured to allow for the best
high availability and identify areas of single points of failure and re-configure where necessary to ensure HA was working as expected.
Rian worked hard over his years with me to increase his skills with both the Solaris and Linux operating systems. Including additional layers of software such as Veritas/Infoscale filesystems and clustering, monitoring software, and monitoring hardware. He is very familiar with ITL processes such as change management, working issues tickets and performing root cause analysis to prevent repeat problems. His ability to work with the customer and end users to coordinate necessary downtime to perform work was always very professional and provided great results in an extremely high paced environment that has an exceedingly difficult customer base and tight deadlines.
Rian is a delight to work with – a team player with a positive, can-do attitude all the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again if the opportunity arose.
